The Origin
Born in a Garage. Tested on Highway 7.
HWY7 Longboard began with a simple idea: build practical electric longboards for the roads and communities around us. What started as a personal DIY project has grown into a collection of custom prototypes designed for street cruising, rural roads and off-road adventures.
We build, test, discover problems and improve every setup. We share the entire journey—including the successful rides, mechanical challenges and workshop solutions.

HWY7 Mini Ride
A compact electric cruiser built for short trips, park rides and everyday fun. Easy to carry, quick to ride and full of old-school character.
HWY7 Fishtail
Classic surf-inspired styling combined with electric power. Designed for relaxed cruising, carving and an unmistakable old-school riding experience.
HWY7 Off-Road
A rugged prototype with pneumatic wheels developed for gravel roads, uneven pavement and the conditions found outside the city.

The Build Process
Built Through Testing
Every HWY7 prototype goes through real workshop development and real-world riding. We test motors, batteries, wheels, trucks, belts, braking, cooling and board geometry to find a setup that performs reliably in Canadian conditions.

We do not hide the development process. Rough roads, steep hills, overheating components and mechanical adjustments all teach us how to make the next version better. Follow the testing process from the first workshop assembly to the final road ride.

About the Project
A Canadian Longboard Project with a Bigger Vision
HWY7 Longboard is an independent electric longboard project based near Highway 7 in Ontario. Our goal is to develop enjoyable, practical and distinctive electric boards while building a community around making, testing and riding.
Our long-term vision is to create a physical HWY7 workshop where people can see the boards, learn about the building process, test different setups and connect with the local riding community.
